The Effects of Pornography – A Conspiracy Against Men

The effects of pornography are more harmful than any other addiction in the world. Porn is the ultimate pacifier of men and prevents them from ever reaching their full potential in life. If pornography was removed from our world there is no telling how many more accomplishments men would be making in the world today. We will take an unbiased look at how pornography has shaped our society for the worse.

A Harmless Vice

On the outside adult content seems like the most harmless of vices. It can be viewed in the privacy of your own home and no one ever has to know. The accessibility makes it extremely potent as you never need to “hunt” for it as there are millions of free sites to satisfy your every desire. The act is not what destroys men but the after effects are what take hold and really ruin your life.

I firmly believe that men can never have happiness in this life and live up to their potential if pornography is part of it. We can hate on the evil of the industry all we want but it isn’t until you see how it harms you directly that you are encouraged to stop what you are doing. Pornography is the hardest of vices to quit as the images and movies are permanently lodged in your mind. Unlike drugs which are beatable with treatment and detox, pornography’s damage can last a lifetime. The breaking point is when you are determined to overcome porn and not allowing yourself to be a slave.

The Real Damage

So let’s start from the real beginning which is right after you are done with a quick session of pornography. This is when the damage starts to manifest itself. Immediately your body goes into a relaxed state like after you have had sex. You release your endorphins and your brain can’t tell the difference between pornography and real sex. The effects are like a fat and happy pig. You lose motivation to accomplish big things in life. Men are driven by women and when you have this false reality you lose that drive. In Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, he mentions sex transmutation as the vital ingredient to success. If you use pornography you lose your drive and large amounts of testosterone. You, in essence, live in an altered state of life and believe that pornography is a true source of pleasure. This is like sedating an animal and you are the animal. You become docile and limp.

The other effects include no skill with women. When you use pornography you are looking at beautiful women. You begin to associate this beauty with a fantasy that you see in videos. Soon enough you begin to perceive gorgeous women as something that is unobtainable and you subconsciously put them on a pedestal. Also, you have no desire to approach and connect with women because millions are readily available in the cyber world. In my experiences with men who are horrible with women they all use pornography and masturbate profusely. If you want to be good with women you HAVE to stop looking at pornography.

In Conclusion

The effect of pornography on men is that it makes us content and docile. If you want happiness in this life than take pornography out of it or you will condemn yourself to an altered reality that is extremely detrimental to your psychological health. Stopping is hard but if you are determined enough it can be overcome by goal setting and execution.

How to Conquer Pornography Addiction

Pornography addiction is a topic that is receiving more and more attention these days. From celebrities whose life has spiralled out of control, to teenagers whose school work is seriously affected, it’s a subject that is worthy of more research.

At the click of a mouse, the Internet offers almost limitless possibilities for viewing pornography. What takes place when viewing online porn spirals out of control? When does it become an addiction? How can someone who is struggling with it get help?

Pornography addiction is not yet recognized by the American Psychological Association as a psychological disorder (as many other addictions are), but greater focus is now being given to this problem and an ever increasing number of people are seeking help in this area.

The criteria for identifying pornography addiction is very similar to other addictions. Does reading, watching, thinking about, and/or viewing pornography interfere with your work, personal life, relationships, social interactions or family life? If you answer yes to this question, you could have a pornography addiction.

What makes porn addiction a greater problem than in the past?

It’s easier than ever before to access pornography. Before the Internet, it was necessary to actually enter an adult entertainment store and purchase material. It required a certain degree of personal disclosure — taking the magazine, video or DVD to the cashier meant that you would be identified as a pornography consumer, which of course deterred quite a few people from consuming it in the first place. Now, all it takes is a quick Internet search and anyone can access an almost unlimited amount of porn in the privacy of their own room.

Early exposure

Whereas in the past access to this kind of thing would be rare and difficult to obtain, with the Internet children have a good chance of being exposed to it from an early age. Research has shown that 42% of children have viewed Internet pornography before reaching the age of 18.

Some experts believe that tolerance is built up when it comes to pornography addiction, much as tolerance is built up with alcohol addiction or other substances. The need to view pornography appears to increase with the amount the addict views. The Internet offers a virtually unlimited supply of pornography websites — in fact, there are estimated to be around 420 million different sites now available.

Getting Help

As pornography addiction becomes more common and receives more attention, our understanding of it grows. As our understanding of this problem increases, so too does our ability to effectively treat it.. One possible way to view pornography addiction is to see it as a form of sex addiction. Currently, there are several helpful and effective ways that it may be treated. In addition to 12 step programs such as Sex Addicts Anonymous, and Sexual Compulsives Anonymous, there are a number of recovery programs, both on and offline that offer help with this addiction. Individual therapy can also be accessed. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, may be particularly effective, as is hypnotherapy when tacking this addiction.

Pornography Addiction – Youth Ministry’s Growing Challenge

Modern adolescents and children are more likely to be exposed (often accidentally) to pornographic images than previous generations. And both boys and girls are experiencing life-altering changes as a direct result of developing addictions to pornography. It happens easily because…

The privacy of one’s room permits virtually unlimited ability to surf the internet unsupervised. And many young people are becoming addicted to pornography because it is very difficult for websites to control access.

This poses serious issues for youth ministers because addictions reduce a person’s ability to make moral choices. And at the very heart of ministry is the teaching of moral choices that bring a person closer to God.

The Ten Commandments are specific in the choices we have to make in our relationships with God, with our family and with our neighbors.

The other issue for youth ministers is the psychological effect of pornography addiction on children and adolescents.

Did you know…

Pornography addiction has the same effects on the youth as if he or she were sexually abused by an adult?
Pornography Addiction is a form of substance abuse?
There is a big difference between addiction and compulsion? One seeks to enhance positive feelings excessively. the other seeks to avoid feelings desperately.
Youth ministry is largely made up of activities for children and teens under the auspices of some religious institution.

The socialization these activities provide creates a Christian context for children and adolescents to learn how to meet interpersonal needs, including normal interest in romance and sexuality.

And in the youth group, young sexuality learns the rules of expression and participation that will be needed in adult life. However…in the throes of a pornography addiction, children and adolescents become increasingly isolated from the socialization effects of Christian youth ministry.

And that’s a problem.

Why Do People Hate Pornography? A Real Reason for Change

So why do people hate pornography? For the enlightened crowd we tend to hate pornography because it enslaves men and dumbs us down. Pornography alters the way that the mind works and causes men to become controlled by their most primitive instincts. Ultimately it weakens us and makes us docile with no drive or hunger in life.

Who Runs Your Life

Adult entertainment appears to be a harmless vice but when you look closer at its impact it becomes anything but harmless. The images in porn work exactly like a drug and it can control you. As with any addiction, even casual use, your body develops a tolerance to what excites it. Soon you seek more extreme images and fetishes. This becomes extremely detrimental because it is all a fantasy – pure and simple. The fantasy starts to have marring effects on life because nothing in reality can compare to the alternate world that you delve into. Relationships, both emotional and physical, can never live up to the images stored in your head.

On top of effecting relationships with women pornography tends to keep men weak and unmotivated. Napoleon Hill in Think and Grow Rich states that control of sexual urges is the key to wealth in your life. This not only means financial wealth but abundance as a whole. Just as a lion hunts the hardest when he is hungry men strive for greatness when they are driven. When you have a sexual desire it can be trans mutated into motivation to do something great with your life. By using pornography and masturbation you squelch that fire and you become content with the computer. Don’t believe me? Try going without masturbation and porn for three weeks and see how you feel. The power that you possess is unbelievable

Failed Interactions

The next travesty in adult entertainment is that you begin to have a twisted view on how you see women. Pornography trains your brain to believe that women are for pleasure and an object to lust over. How many times have you seen a woman and the only thing you notice are chest and butt? You never seem to notice real beauty such as eyes, hair, or skin. Human interactions become about who can give you instant pleasure. This is not good as you will never be able to have real interactions with women without there being an ulterior motive.

When viewing adult content it always involves physically desirable women. While this appears to be fine the effects on social connections are terrible. After enough porn consumption you begin to associate gorgeous women with the fantasy you seen on the computer. That is why men who have problems talking to women almost always have a porn addiction. They see beautiful women as a fantasy and they are unobtainable. If you want to be good with women get away from porn and masturbation.

In Conclusion

So after reading this hopefully you can better understand why people hate pornography. There is never anything good that comes out of it except a twisted view of women and reality. Step away because the effects can be life altering.

Sexually Suppressed Societies and Internet Pornography

Google enables anyone to quantify almost anything – what people are worried about, what people want to buy, what they do buy, what they want to learn, etc. And then, you can cross that information with almost any other parameter, such as geography. So if you want to know where people consume the most pornography, Google can actually supply that information – within seconds. A trend that has been noticed concerns the search for porn and sex related Internet content. It is commonly understood that pornography content is one of the most sought after types of Internet content worldwide. But in which regions and countries is it MOST searched?

While the answer may surprise many, it does not surprise psychologists and researchers. At the top of the lists for porn related search are Muslim countries like Eqypt, Algeria and Pakistan. In the US, there are more searches for porn in States such as Utah. In societies that tend to be more repressed in their sexual attitudes, it appears that people are driven to seeking information and exposure online.

In a study done by a Harvard University affiliated group in 2009, it was found that in the US, states where a majority of residents agreed with the statement “I have old-fashioned values about family and marriage,” bought 3.6 more pornography subscriptions per thousand people than states where a majority disagreed with that statement.

“Over half of internet users in Iran have admitted searching for porn and about one third of them do it every day,” says Saeed Madani, a sociologist in Tehran. Note that in Iran, pornography is illegal and just last year, many arrests were made of suspects accused of running pornography websites. Iranian boys and girls are banned from socializing freely and demand for online adult content has exploded there.

Psychologists in these kinds of communities, where harsh laws are enacted to try to eliminate sexual content or access to it, find that many people suffer from extreme sexual problems caused by years of suppression and fear.

So what can be concluded or from this information? On one hand, it appears that enacting laws to try to prevent access to pornography is not working and is likely increasing the public’s demand for the pornography content. On the other hand, the availability of pornography and the widespread exposure is undoubtedly a danger to society’s sexual and mental health.

In societies that ban open relationships and do not allow any discussion of sexuality, even if it is educational, normal and healthy, the population is driven to seek information elsewhere. If the only available source for learning about sex, is pornography, the results can be catastrophic. So the conclusion is that indeed, something has to be done about eliminating access to pornography. But in parallel, it must be ensured that children, teens and adults all have access to the right kind of information at the right time in their life and in a highly accessible format. That would include parental guidance, sex education in school and Internet content that can enhance their understanding and remove the element of embarrassment they may be facing.

When a parent or significant other does suspect or identify a problem with pornography, the best first line of defense could be installing a web filter. As we have been discussing over the years, the safest, most responsible approach to dealing with the existence of online pornography is to block it from your computers.

Avoiding Internet Pornography

Pornography is a multi billion dollar industry. There is a constant production of lewd movies, images & sex tools because there is so much worldwide demand for it. The advancement of internet technology allows pornographic streaming videos to be downloaded quickly from the internet onto computers & hand held devices.

Pornography is considered as Adult entertainment & deemed normal by liberal minded people. However, child pornography is illegal & scorned. All actors in a pornography production must be over the legal age of 18 years old. Also, people below 18 years of age are not allowed (albeit minimally enforced) to view pornography both online & in the real world.

Could the ease of exposure to internet pornography contribute to young children becoming sexually active? Recent statistics shows that 9 out of 10 children between the age of 8 and 16 actually visit pornographic sites over the internet. There have also been stories of children engaging in co-ed sex parties & orgies. It suggests that internet pornography is playing a part in building sexual curiosity in children at such an early age. Is it what we want for our children? Small children are human beings too and can also be naturally aroused sexually. However, children are more susceptible to misunderstand the complexities associated with performing sexual activities like pregnancy & sexually transmitted diseases (S.T.D.).

It is in reality not the problem of children actually visiting pornographic websites but instead lies in the issue of them being accidentally directed to such “adult” websites. A recent survey done by the University of Hampshire achieved similar results. “66 percent said that they did not want to view the images & had not sought them out”, said the researcher.

A pornographic website may even be only a mouse click away. Banners, links, spam emails & other forms of online marketing are being misused as tools to lure even the most innocent of internet users. There are ways to prohibit pornographic content from being displayed even in the event of an accidental mouse click.

Commercial softwares termed Parental Control Softwares like Cyber Sentinel, Cyber Snoop, ishield, Net Nanny 5, & Optenet are able to filter images & advertisements of pornographic nature. It can help in such a way to prevent our children from being led into pornographic websites.

However, parental control softwares are still unable to fully prevent online pornography from being presented to our children online. More & better measures are required to restrict the use of sophisticated methods of online pornography marketing.

Therefore, parents should play an active role in educating their children about the consequences of viewing internet pornography. We should inform our children & show them about what they can & should not do on the internet. Also, inform them to question their actions before clicking on seductive advertisements which may lead them to the illicit pornographic websites.

The Destructive Path of Pornography Addiction

Many people don’t want to talk about pornography addiction. In fact, our society is beginning to embrace pornography as a normal way of life. What used to be a behind the alley shop is now a billboard promoting the “Largest Adult Bookstore” in town. What the heck is going on? Don’t people care?

The destructive path associated with pornography is clear. Marital relationships are at risk. Children are at risk. No child should be exposed to pornographic images, yet the average age children are being exposed in America is age 11. What eleven-year-old understands pornography? Not one of them understands why such images make them feel the way they do. Yet, this is the average age.

The pornography industry understands this. They target young children. They know that the earlier someone gets exposed to such images the more likely they are to develop an addiction. Did you know that researchers have found that the earlier someone is exposed to an addictive substance the more likely they are to become addicted to it? So what, is going to happen when a full generation of children have been exposed to pornography? Scary thought.

We are about fifteen years into the Internet generation. We are starting to see the societal ramifications of such easy access. While I don’t want to scare you, please go to Google and type in “pornography in the news” and follow some of the links to see what is happening around the country. Just read the headlines and you’ll get a feel for where our society is headed if we don’t start doing something about easy access to pornography.

If you followed some of the links you will see how pornography is moving into your neighborhood. There are more and more legal cases involving pornography.

Now let’s look at how pornography is influencing individuals and families. Below you will find three cases from people who have taken my online assessment “Assessing Pornography Addiction.” Below I have posted the question and the participants’ response.

July 10th, 2008-Married Man

Question: Please explain how pornography has impacted your life?

Answer: My wife is always angry

Question: Do you feel like you are addicted to pornography? Please explain your answer.

Answer: Sometimes. Other times I feel like it’s my wife’s fault.

My Comments:

This man indicates that his wife is always angry. Is it because of his pornography consumption? What do you think this marriage is like? Is this couple having any fun? No! Does he feel that he is addicted? Sometimes, but he is blaming his relationship with his wife for part of why he views pornography.

What would happen if he stopped viewing pornography? Would his wife become less angry? It sounds like this couple needs additional help. I don’t believe her anger is just about his consumption of pornography. However, we wouldn’t know that unless he was willing to seek help and work to overcome his pornography addiction.

His wife’s anger is easy to blame on his pornography use. However, she needs to figure out why she is so angry. Her anger will never bring them closer together. She does need to take a stand against his pornography use, but anger is not the best way to do so.

July 9th, 2008-Man in a serious relationship

Question: Please explain how pornography has impacted your life?

Answer: It has been my greatest down-fall. I’ve been addicted for a long time. I have tried to quit countless times and continue to struggle with it. I was able to quit once for a year and half which was awesome. It has impacted my life in relationships. I don’t really have any relationship with my parents. I’m currently in a relationship with a girl I love more than anything and because of pornography I realize how cold and desensitized I have become, and what a closed-up emotionally person I am. It has affected me physically in that I have battled depression for the past year since the pornography addiction has returned to my life. I also am unable to get an erection from proper stimulation — only when viewing pornography do I get an erection, so it has a big impact there on the physical side of my relationship.

Question: Do you feel like you are addicted to pornography? Please explain your answer.

Answer: Yes, I feel like I am very addicted to pornography. I keep telling myself that this time is the last. And I keep coming back. Sometimes I’m able to quit for a month, sometimes 2 or 3, but I keep falling back. I hate it but I can’t stop it.

My Comments:

How has pornography influenced this person’s life? He has a limited relationship with his parents. He feels that he is cold and desensitized in his relationships. He is more closed. He feels depressed because of pornography and it is influencing his sexual functioning. Pornography is having a significant impact on this man.

It is sad that someone who hates pornography so much feels like he cannot stop viewing it. I would want to know what this guy is doing to stop viewing pornography. Many people feel like they cannot stop. To such individuals I say you can stop. I have met with more than 200 individuals who have attempted to stop viewing pornography. While not all of them have succeeded, many of them are making great progress. I have seen many of them reclaim their identity. They no longer feel helpless and hopeless.

So we understand that this isn’t just a man’s issue here’s what one woman wrote.

July 5th, 2008

Question: Please explain how pornography has impacted your life?

Answer: I believe it has taken away some of my ability to feel emotionally.

Question: Do you feel like you are addicted to pornography? Please explain your answer.

Answer: Yes. Because I know I can’t stop.

My Comment:

I have talked with hundreds of people who have told me that pornography influences their emotions. Many feel that pornography influences their emotions (e.g. depression, shame, guilt). I often wonder why people feel guilty and shame when they view pornography. Some would say that society brings this negative feeling to individuals. However, I do not believe this is the case. I believe that intuitively we know that pornography is not good for us. Pornography creates a chemical high in individuals that changes how they think and feel.

Notice this woman’s response to the question do you feel that you are addicted, “Yes. Because I know I can’t stop.” How sad. During the past two years I have had around 5000 people take this test. As I have reviewed their responses, I have come to the conclusion that pornography is carving out a deep hole from the character of our society.

Pornography: The Addiction We Never Talk About

We have all heard about the destructive power of drug addictions and even food addictions and obesity, but rarely do we hear or talk about the largest addiction problem the world faces: Pornography.

The destructive force of pornography is something that seems to be a taboo subject in our culture. We can look at statistics and discover why the people profiting from it want to keep it under wraps… but why does society in general? Why is there this notion that there is nothing wrong with Pornography? Or that “everyone” is looking at it, so what’s the big deal?

In this article, I want to explore the devastating effects you may have never considered about Pornography and Porn Addiction, then I hope to offer some solutions and resources for those who struggle with it daily.

Before we get started take a look at some numbers collected by Brigham Young University:

Size of the Industry $57.0 billion world-wide – $12.0 billion US

It is my hope that after you read these statistics your eyes are opened to the massive problem we are facing. These statistics do not even begin to uncover all of the damage done to families across the world, relationships, and individuals being exploited within the industry itself.
Because of the rampant explosion and accessbility of online porn, there have not been many studies of the overall effects, but all of the studies that have been done show pornography to be highly addictive, in a very real and chemical way.

According to WebMD:
In November 2004, a panel of experts testified before a Senate subcommittee that a product which millions of Americans consume is dangerously addictive. They were talking about pornography. The effects of porn on the brain were called “toxic” and compared to cocaine. One psychologist claimed “prolonged exposure to pornography stimulates a preference for depictions of group sex, sadomasochistic practices, and sexual contact with animals.”
And Psychology Today:
In a 2004 testimony before the United States Senate, Dr. Jill Manning shared some interesting data regarding pornography and relationships. In her research she found that 56 percent of divorce cases involved one party having an obsessive interest in pornographic websites.

Every year for the past decade there have been roughly 1 million divorces in the United States. If half of the people divorcing claim pornography as the culprit, that means there are 500,000 marriages annually that are failing due to pornography.

As a man who struggled with pornography addiction for years, I can tell you it is VERY real. In fact, to this day I still have to be on guard every single day and take measures to avoid and control urges when they arise. There is a fantastic book on this subject called “Every Man’s Battle” by Stephen Arterburn and Fred Stoeker. It is written from a Christian perspective and offers great advice for ALL men on how to avoid sexual temptation. It comes with my highest recommendation, I have read the book and use the tools inside in my daily walk with Christ and believe in what it teaches.

Now, let’s take a moment and discuss how men and women differ when it comes to pornography and sexual tempation. Men are wired differently than women. Men are very visual creatures, meaning the simplest and most innocent of images can trigger sexual temptation. Not always but certainly sometimes and you never know when it’s going to happen. Your husband, or boyfriend could be innocently reading his Facebook news feed one moment, catch an image of one of his “Facebook friends” in a skimpy bathing suit and BOOM just like that, a switch is thrown in his body, chemical processes start to take place and urges begin to well up. The next thing you know he is visiting one of his favorite free porn sites he has visited a thousand times before. Women however get more stimulation from erotic fantasy… meaning they would rather read a story then look at an x-rated photo. If they watch pornography they usually prefer story-driven films as opposed to just sex scenes.

Men and women BOTH have problems with Pornography addictions, and obviously it is much more prevalent in men. What might actually shock you however, is the fact that women are much more inclined to ACT OUT sexually as a result of viewing porn. By act out, I mean outside of the relationship she is in. Why is this?

Well the data as to the cause is still out, but remember men are visual and women are more about the “fantasy”. Go to the bookstore and you will find hundreds of “Romance” Novels on the shelves, do you think men are buying those? And don’t you find it interesting that these romance novels almost always involve a woman meeting a stranger in an exotic location and having a sexual encounter outside of her marriage? It seems obvious to me, that if a man watches a random sex video of a strange woman he has never met, then a woman reads an erotic story and lets her imagination run loose… that she might be more inclined to act out the fantasy she has just experienced then him… and as I stated, the data tends to support that notion.

When we understand how men and women differ as to what causes them to be tempted sexually, it is easy to imagine why the internet is so much more dangerous for men, than women (as far as sexual tempations go). You will be hard pressed to surf online for more than 5 minutes and not find scantily clad women in innocent photos, advertisements or videos or actually viewing sexually related material, inadvertently or not. Erotic stories however are much more difficult to stumble upon.

So how far-reaching is the destructive power of pornography? Let’s list some areas:

Family units and relationships – pornography is linked to nearly HALF of all divorces, meaning broken homes and children suffering from the loss of a parent.
Human trafficking – 300,000 children per year in the US are at risk of being used for sexual exploitation – The Covering House
STD Transmission among porn actors – Only 17% of heterosexual pornography utilizes condoms. Just 2 of the 200 Adult Film Companies require the use of condoms, and many of the others require performers to NOT use condoms for continued employment. – Covenant Eyes
Desensitization – Studies are beginning to show that those who frequent porn sites are more likely to view sex strictly as a physical activity and women as sex objexts. – APA
Probably the single biggest stumbling block we face as a nation, as a society, as a culture is that the vast majority of the population doesn’t even believe pornograpy is a problem in the first place. We know that we have a drug problem, a drunk driving problem, an underage pregnancy problem, an obesity problem… we are easily able to identify MOST other major problems we face. So what is stopping us from recognizing pornography for what it is, purely destructive and dangerous on every level?
This is a tough question, which probably has many different answers or contributing factors… but what I have noticed in the past 30 years is a severe drop in moral standards of right and wrong. Behavior that was taboo 30 years ago is applauded today. Is this going to change? Are we going to find our way back as a nation? No, we are too far gone. But what we can do is educate people on this particular problem and raise awareness levels, which is why I am writing this article.

If you are in a married or committed relationship and feel you have a problem with pornography in your life, the rest of this article is for you. Just like any other addiction or temptation you can overcome the desire to watch porn in your life and as a result avoid damaging your relationship any further. You can also begin to repair and build trust again with your partner when they see you are willing to take positive steps in this area.

Here are the steps I have taken in my life that have brought me great success:

Pray and meditate on the Word of God. Always take problems like this to God first and if you feel sexual urges begin to build up inside, grab your Bible and start reading Scripture. This helps me 99% of the time to divert my mind and get me back on track spiritually.
Safe Eyes -This software is INVALUABLE for me. Once installed it eliminates the chance of visiting a porn website on your computer, and even blocks images that are questionable and may cause you to be tempted sexually. It is available for all devices. It does have an annual subscription, but it is very affordable and absolutely effective in what it sets out to accomplish.
Bounce the eyes, this is a trick I learned from the book I recommended earlier “Every Man’s Battle”. The basic exercise goes like this, if you see anything in your day that COULD potentially be a trigger for sexual temptation – immediately bounce or move your eyes in another direction. Once you learn to do this repeatedly, it will become natural and will instantly put you in the right frame of mind and identify the sin you were about to partake in.
Push away. Safe Eyes is a great tool but it will not stop 100% of the sexually tempting material you could come across on your internet travels. For this reason I have learned to push quickly away from my computer when I see something like this, and leave the computer. Treat it almost like a bee sting, jump up and move away. This gives you time to gather your thoughts, change your frame of mind and go back to your computer when you are ready.
Be around people. If you have a computer in an office or bedroom, where you are alone with the internet for long periods of time, you may consider moving it to a common living space, where your wife or significant other is nearby frequently. This will GREATLY reduce the temptation to use internet porn in most cases… and if you are serious about kicking this habit, you should think this option over.
Find and use accountability partners. It is best if this partner is NOT your wife or significant other, but rather a Church Brother or Sister, that you know and trust. What you will do is confide in this person the problem you are having, and it will be their job to HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE and constantly ask you the tough questions about how you are doing on your quest. Another great feature of Safe Eyes is the ability for it to EMAIL people of your choice a report of your internet activities. If you are serious you need to be held ACCOUNTABLE.
Please remember, as with almost any area of your life that you need help, you are not alone. More men (and women) than you can imagine face the same problems with porn that you do. Myself included. If you are a member of a church inquire with them and find out if they have a small group you can join for people with similar problems. The more of a support system you build the better chance you will have to stay porn free.

Keep Away Pornography From Homes

With the advent of the internet, there is much unwanted adult content and pornography. These materials have grave negative implications for children, parents, spouses, and the family at large. Previously, matters of sex were relegated to the bedroom and brothels. People shied away from discussing or displaying sexual passion in public. Today, unwanted adult content is readily accessible, even through mobile phones.

Society should be apprehensive when unwanted online adult content and pornography falls into the hands of children. While it is a fact that children will, at one stage in their lives, come to comprehend sex, it is the nature and age of orientation that are perturbing. Sex is pleasurable and addictive to some extent. However, this is not what we desire for human beings in their formative years to embrace. Every person undergoes a systematic developmental process and sex has its moment, which is definitely not childhood. We need to allow children to enjoy their innocence, and to grow naturally into adulthood.

Unwanted online adult content and pornography may appear to the casual eye as being beneficial to couples, but that is far from the reality. It is factual that couples can learn several techniques on how to give one another pleasure when having sexual intercourse, after they watch this kind of content. However, adult material is likely to foment discontent in marriages or relationships since either or both of the partners may develop unrealistic sexual expectation from the other. It should always be borne in mind that the people portrayed in pornography videos are actually actors, who are trained to exaggerate the acts and effects of sex. Couples trying this at home will only be disillusioned, and may resort to infidelity in search of elusive sexual pleasure. Pornography may destroy marriage instead of building it.

Unwanted online adult content and pornography are also destroying the moral fabric of the society since they defy and negate all the societal and cultural norms that people have learnt to live with. Few people can argue with the notion that religion and society bring order and harmony in a community. Allowing online adult content into our homes is to disorient the manner in which any society operates. Unless such stuff is monitored and restricted, we risk having a society in which the young and the elderly do not respect one another, and where the inviolability of marriage and the honor of the family are disregarded.
